Oh dear - lady temptation
Or Mr. temptation really - my brother (yonger) has a gen 1 R1 he picked up for a steal a few weeks ago, but has now offered it to me as he has found a Duke 996.
I love the Falco and get on with it well, but have been hankering after another Blade or R1 for ages - the Falco came along at a good price when I had the cash and had a shortlist of a few bikes.
I am now left wondering what to do, sell the Falco and go for the R1, or pass it up.
I haven't had a go on this one, I did his previous R1, but I sat on this one last week and couldn't believe how roomy it felt- my old T reg 'Blade felt very cramped in the legs/knees in comparison!

yeah but think.. all that poncing about with gears, when you can leave the Falco in second and just turn the throttle to warp speed without having to do the jap four dance on the gearshift...
Is it a red and white S1 R1? Be cheeky to pass one of those up though...

This is the subject of my temptation at the moment
I keep justifying to myself why I should buy one and then bottling out and convincing myself the Tuono is a better all round bike
But the thoughts won't go away

Time will tell, I have far more pressing things on my mind at the moment anyway

I've spent 50% of my life riding motorcycles, the rest I've wasted!
Hmm, that's nice.
I've made my mind up, keeping the Falco....
R1 has more than twice the miles on it and I do prefer the Blue ones. This is an Import so more white than red and I don't really like the colour scheme.
Had 6 bikes in 2 years as it is and I flogged the ZX-9R recently after a few weeks cause it had no character after my RSV.
Once I've done some mods to the Falco I'll be happy with it and my licence will last longer!
I'd have both if I had the dosh, but got a new bathroom going in shortly....

How about the Dorsuduro? Guy I got the Falco off was on about getting one of them, look very nice!Falco9 wrote:This is the subject of my temptation at the moment

We can discuss the pro's & cons' over several beers on the ferry M8. It is a bloody dear bike though. £9.5k is asking a lot for a SuperMoto with a nose fairingwavey wrote:You know what? If anything could get me off my falco, it would be the SMT, I think it's a whoppa.
If only it didn't cost money
Look forward to seeing you

Yeah you're right, but if I keep drinking, I'll never be able to afford one.Falco9 wrote:We can discuss the pro's & cons' over several beers on the ferry M8.
