The One Million Dollar Question

#1 Post by Aladinsaneuk » Sat Aug 01, 2009 4:51 am

what bits off a futura can be fitted to a falco?

now that we have made you welcome, we do have to consider such important issues - we like to know exactly what donor parts are available....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

The rider ..... but he doesn't know that yet

Other than the swinging arm (and no, you can't have either of mine :smt019 ), I don't know - it's not something I'd consider; but perhaps in reverse?

And I'm sure the Falconista Vultures will have already cast their beady eyes over over all possible prey to feed their insaiable appetite for modding.

Talking of vultures, did you know this? . . allowing them to safely digest putrid carcasses that would be lethal to other scavengers. This also enables them to use their reeking, corrosive vomit as a defensive projectile when threatened

Possibly footpegs; recently swapped mine for VTR rubber-covered pegs, for a bit more comfort for my arthritic feet.

If they'll fit earlier Falcos, they'll fit the later ones too ..... but aren't they the same forks on both bikes?

Futura/Falco forks are similar, but not identical - so I'm told. I think it's to do with the caliper mounts - the Fut discs are slightly smaller than other contemporary Aprilias; some owners swap their forks for ones for early RSVs, Tuonos & Falcos, giving a slightly wider range of adjustment possibilites, and greater choice of discs

Ah - that would make sense - forgot about the different disc size
