My goodness - that IS standard ... how has it remained unaltered for so long :smt017

I think it must be a very rare "reference" Falco ..... probably got a preservation order on it.

Looks nice - don't see so many blue ones.

Think that may just be because the steering is at full lock.

Aye, you're right, they don't touch the screen or anything.

very clean

i would keep it totally standard, i so wish mine was as it was when i got it

more dried frog pills anyone?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Looks like a very nice tidy bike Stu, (Think I had one like that almost exactly 4 years ago, but in BLACK).
It'll make a perfect blank canvass! :smt003

Welcome Stu. That's a good choice of bike there and in my opinion are more than good enough even in standard trim. I,ve done next to bugger all to mine really and I love it :smt003

Lovely bike Stu; mine's a red/black one, but I've always thought the blue ones look really classy. And there don't seem to be too many of them about, either. I'm sure the reprobates on here will quickly help you to empty your wallet...

It's all entirely personal, of course, but if its as standard as it looks you'd be well advised to change the sidestand (lots of info on the forum). Followed after a little while by the rear shock. But it's a cracking bike, anyway. Enjoy!

Thanks for your comments chaps.

A blank canvass indeed, Howard.

Mango - I have a sidestand from Busbywoo(?) on Ebay in the post. Already researched that prior to purchase.

Went down to see me parents today on the bike and was grinning like a mad man all the way there and back! Passed a couple of RSV's and a Tuono but no Falco's. Feels very exclusive compared to my old Bandit!

My parents had a few friends around, all non bikers but into cars and they loved the bike. One of them said, and I quote, 'it looks like a piece of art!'

I wholeheartedly agree with him :smt003

You're not thinking he meant it looks as though Tracy Emin has slept on it :smt017

Not at all...although now you mention it maybe that is how it has remained standard for so long. I mean, if Tracy Emin slept on it then no one would want to go anywhere near it! :smt078

Nice one Stu (for any other kiwi lurkers out there, this phrase is a 70s nz tv reference... but useless trivia aside:) I've a blue falco too - a good deal scruffier than your beauty but still fun to ride. You now belong to two exclusive clubs: Falco pilots, and BLUE Falco pilots ... let those reds, blacks and bronzes have their speed pissing contests: we all know the classiest hue for a Falco :smt047

I guess you're suggesting it's either Mercury Grey (that some people like to "big-up" by calling it "silver") or Oasis Green .....
