If you have a crash and then use an accident management firm, do you know what happens to your claim once the details have been recorded?
Well, be carefull, an auction website where solicitors who make the highest bid win the right to take on a case is already generating business, the Gazette has learned. The backers of Legalbid.co.uk said their model is no worse – and, in some cases, better – than other referral arrangements in the market.
Legalbid is run by Northern Accident Solutions, a regulated claims management company. It auctions off mainly personal injury (PI) cases, with road traffic claims starting at £350 to £400.
This is not the first time I have heard this, but it does seem to particularly affect motorcycle cases which are often of higher value than car cases.
If you need to make a claim, you would be well advised to go directly to a law firm who is either known to you or recommended.
