on sunday morning i felt a little achey - but went to work. by 0800 i was throwing my guts up, unable to walk properly and running a huge temperature

guess what - i have swine flu

as in the full one - not just man flu that seems to be doing the rounds as well

I have slept for most of the last 48 hours and am just about eating again - a bowel of soup was kept down!

I am on tamiflu - side effects include nausea, headaches etc so....

but things have been delayed - so if you have been waiting for me to reply to simething, then sorry - i will get round to it - and paddy - i will get that stuff oposted - as soon as i can get dressed and to the post office

by the way - it feels like i have been hit by a train

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

No wonder you're ill if your eating soup from bowels, most of us use bowls.
Still must be the medical influence.

I reckon it's a malingerer's scam.

Medical chap, knows the symptoms - posts up on a public forum how ill he is, quoting all the right stuff - alibi sorted - a week off work tinkering with the bike .....

Get well soon, Pete

..... and stop posting on here or we'll all be down with it in no time

My Daughter who's a hospital Dr. reckons nursing can be a pretty good carear but I'm not hard enough for having to deal with sick people all day.

Anyway, there there you'll be ok..........etc.

Hope you shake it off quickly Pete.

May I ask why the Tamiflu ? Are you in an at risk group ? Has it made any difference (doesn't sound like it) ?

Although Tamiflu is an Anti-flu treatment it works in the manner of a vaccine by giving you a dose of Tami Flu and allowing your body to build immunity.

While Swine Flu can lead to an outbreak of grunting symptoms and Bird Flu to the victim chirping and believing they can fly, those reacting badly to Tami Flu will uncontrollably belt out the strains of "Stand By Your Man"

you been smoking dung again?

and tamiflu may help symptom control and reduce effect of the virus

as for immunity - probably not - the second wave later this year will have mutated

How many gallons of chicken soup and boxes of Kleenex have you got through so far then?? Sounds nasty, hope I don't get it! I know people at work who know people who have it, but you're the first person I actually know personally who has it, so congratulations on that one!
