Aprilia . . Italophile . . voluble

Stray thought. The Aprilia segment of of Ridersite seems to have a lot more to say than the Honda & Kwacker lot. Just wondering why.
That's all.
Night-night.

PS. You can pea soup but you can't milk chocolate. Discuss.

as a nurse, yes you can milk chocolate - trust me on this

and the aprilia site scares the other punters.....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Have you moved yet Pete?
I see there were a camera van and a gatso within a few hundred yards of your new place today.
Were they for your benefit? :smt003

The other brands were added more recently by Kwackerz as an attemp to broaden the appeal of the forum. It's not been an instant hive of activity .... but they are there and things do get posted occasionally.

TBH the core of this forum is is more focussed than Aprilia - it's dominated by Falcos.
That's its strength and its weakness. The Falco core does keep things happening but it can alienate owners of other makes and even other Aprilia owners.
Also, as a bike out of production, we are slowly heading to an expiry .... although the longevity of the bikes slows that march.

It is important for us all to be as inclusive and welcoming as possible ... and I think that spirit is there in the people here - but our inroads to the wider Aprilia community and the wider biking community is limited.

BTW the Ridersite's history is not so brand focussed and the longer established members will tell you that with a passion. When the previous ApriliaRidersite lost its hosting support, the Ridersite took us Aprilia types in and gave us a home.

I haven't felt that at all. Far more gentlemanly than some forums

I'd definitely agree with that. Even the VFR forum I sometimes frequent can get a bit antsy at times.

Ah but; Aah but; aaah but; the reason it's all Falco based is????

They have more time to forum-ise
because
- pick/choose:-
1. Falco's keep breaking
2. Falco owners are wusses and stay inside when it's wet/cold/hot/windy
3. Falco owners spend so much on tarting up the bike that they have no cash left for petrol

:smt005 :smt005

yes I know 2 aint trooo - I met a load of yous in cold weather so juss kiddin' folks (falcs?)

Anyone care to justify why this thread is in Aprilia rather than the general forum? :smt003

'cos that's where I was when the thought appeared, and I couldn't be arsed to try to move it, 'cos it was late. OK?

My post wasn't meant as a dig at anyone; more a comment on the general gobbiness of Aprilia riders (incl. myself)

Please feel free to move the thread, if you think it's appropriate.
