I had the misfortune to ride through an oil puddle the other day whilst on the way to to work.

Will the oil attack / damage the rubber? The oil seems to have all been flung off now (all over the mudguards / radiators... Yerk!) and I can't see any oil left behind on the tyres.
Should I just bite the bullet and get the tyres replaced? I don't want to, as the front is almost new, and the rear is barely worn.
