#1 Post by finn » Mon Jul 13, 2009 3:31 pm

Yesterday i took the Falco for my first "long distance" ride. Left Maastricht 10 in the morning and 730km and 8 1/2 hour later i arrived at Oberammergau Germany close to the Austrian border. Boy does my butt hurt.....
The Alps is just awesome... pics will follow.

There aren't many vehicles let alone bikes that won't leave you with a sore but after 8 1/2 hrs.

I look forward to the pictures as it has been a long time since I rode through the Alps and I'd like to refresh my memory.....
Don't put off 'till tomorrow what you can enjoy today

We had a couple of 8 or 9 hour rides on holiday and we also got sore arses, you're not alone! For usual day to day riding I wouldn't bother with one, but I wonder if a gel seat would improve things for thses kinds of rides?

I,ve done some all-dayers on the Falco and had no seat problems at all wearing Draggin jeans and using a sheepskin cover on the seat. I highly recommend the sheepskin - especially in hot weather. One morning I left it in the hotel and was riding along knowing something was wrong but no idea what it was. I just couldn't get comfy..... about 20 miles later I sussed it and returned for my skin. :smt003
