Saw some amazing riding yesterday

#1 Post by Paulh » Sat Jul 11, 2009 9:51 am

I was at Brands for a test day yesterday and was getting passed (frequently) by some bloke on a Kawasaki road bike.

He had it sideways going into Paddock, sideways on the way into and out of driuds, and was sliding the back end on the power all the way round clearways. He was only on a road bike and obviously just having a bit of fun, but was still absolutely flying compared with anything I've seen that close up.

I've seen riding like this on TV, but never right in front of me before - amazing stuff and makes me wonder what I was doing out there at the same time - stunning bike control.

Bloke was called Guy Martin - looks pretty quick :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

He sounds pretty good for a journalist - he works with BenWah at PB ...... amongst other things .......

Mind you, Ben hasn't posted here for ages ..... probably too embarrassed that he never gets round to doing the things he says he is going to do to his Falco each month in PB :smt009

Guy Martin seems to be a fantastic bloke. He always brings a smile to my face when they interview him - especially at IOM.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
