allthough my prayers are for this young lad and his family and that he pulls through and that the teacher was in no fit state to teach i'm surprised we do'nt see more of this kind of violence against pupils.the words that the class had put to a micheal jackson song and where singing would probably push any one over the top, but to the professions credit the majority show restraint , i do,nt know how.
the latest on the lad is that he as shown a slight improvement and is stable. the teacher appears in court in the morning charged with attemted murder. i hope this is a one off.
did'nt see this comeing

I can't see how it can be attempted murder as that has to be premeditated - and this was clearly something that happened when the teacher just lost it - of course he shouldn't have and it's a terrible thing, just wondered about the technicality there.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
By all accounts the teacher concerned had had two breakdowns previously and was known to be of (shall we say) a nervous disposition. The kid knew this and deliberately baited the teacher causing him to snap on the spur of the moment.
No excuse as such for a professional, but, if the kid was trying to wind him (the teacher) up, then he has to shoulder some of the responsibility as do the school, particularly if they knew that the teacher had a problem.
The prosecution would never get a murder conviction for the very reason BikeGran mentioned, but manslaughter most probable although I would imagine that the sentance would be quite lenient if this is the truth.

It is better to arrive 30 seconds late in this world than 30 years early in the next

lets hope it does'nt come to either of those charges, but there is no change in his condition.true he did suffer two breakdowns and someone some where should have made a dicission as to his fittness to teach. could teacher shortages have any thing to do with it. as it was the whole class tornting him i do'nt know why this lad was singled out, unless he was the closest.
