norfolk joins the idiots list

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Chief constables are secretly pocketing bonuses and perks worth tens of thousands of pounds, it emerged yesterday.
The incentives include private school fees, stamp duty on properties and even cars for spouses.
The officers also received generous relocation packages, satellite television, home security and 'lifestyle coaching'.
One chief of a tiny force,Norfolk Police Chief Constable, Ian McPherson, was handed a £70,000 package on top of a salary of over £120,000 - making him better paid than many leaders of far larger forces.
Wish he'd stayed in Lancashire.
He has also banned Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from taking part in the Lord Mayors Parade this weekend. It doesn't have an MOT.

What a Cnut. And we're paying for for this sort of shite. As council taxpayers, don't we have a voice in such matters?

I wrote to my mp - out of sheer cussedness

am also contemplating taking a full page advert in the local rag announcing my intention of riding the same route in the future - date etc and time - just to see who else would turn up

(Not a planned event - just saying to all that i would ride that route at a certain time - up to others if they also turned up at the same time...)

You have to think it was deliberate waiting to tell the organisers when it was too late to do anything about the road closure.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
