... how do I get them off the tank. They're big and ugly. Y'know the warning and petrol type ones, not the Aprilia ones.

Hairdryer to soften the adhesive and carefully peel them off. Obviously don't scrape them with anything sharper than a thumbnail.

WD40 should remove any remaining sticky.

Got mine off and I don't have a hairdryer :smt003

Try leaving it in the sun for a while. And as Samray suggests, use lots of WD40 to remove residue. That's about all it's good for anyway.

Are not some of the stickers on the tank lacqured in. I have removed stickers from my fairing with the hairdrier method but those on the tank are lacqured so I dare not try and remove them.

Check first before you damage your paintwork!

Are you just removing them or preparing for a paint job. If it is for a paint job i would give the wd40 a wide berth

Meths is always good for removing sticky stuff - and if it doesn't work you can always drown your sorrows with it ............

Or lighter fluid...

I: Not even the wankers on the site would drink that. That's worse than meths.
Withnail: Nonsense. This is a far superior drink to meths. The wankers don't drink it because they can't afford it.

great quote - some one else get the sunday times by chance?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...
