Side stand, Starter and Throttle no pics though

So I had a couple of hours to work on the bike on Sunday, unfortunately they were between 11pm and 1am, fortunately it was Holiday on Monday (Queens birthday dontchaknow, never got a holiday in the UK :smt017 ).

I cleaned up the starter button, there were some deposits on the terminals, but since the non-starting issue was an intermittent problem only time will tell.

The throttle was sticking (not funny the 1st time it happened :smt009 , but a handy cruise control :smt020 ). Fixed by making sure the grip was fully pushed up the bar as it was rubbing on the bar end, easy.

Saved the best for last. Hacksawed the extra mounting tab off the American issue sidestand bracket. Not easy with a junior hacksaw and a wobbly bench. Quick round off and shape up with a grinding wheel and on it pops. Impressive difference all round. Much better angle of dangle over stock and my old GSXR mod an it is so much thicker (stand and plate).

Just thought I'd let you know :smt001

Yup, we are pleased to hear that you have an improved angle of dangle and find that a thicker one is performing much better.

Seem to be turning into a real Aussie now Dale with claims like that. :smt009
And all this was achieved in less than two hours, was the operation painful?

Anyway glad you got things sorted mate!

If only! it's getting damn cold, barely gets into double figure these days, makes all things contract to a degree
