...my straight through cans give me a headache even over short distances without earplugs in - my spanner monkeys told me actual decibel output has nothing to do with MOTing. As long as the cans don't say 'not for on road use' or something similar on them, they'll pass. Let me hear ya say brmm brmm! :smt003

My sons passed today with the comment, very nice xausts :smt003

But oh my god are they noisy.

He also liked the cheat on the numberplate wedged between the 2 stubbies :smt005 when you rev the motor the xausts vibrate and you can't read the numberplate :smt005

Where did your son take his? I took mine to The Walton Road Garage in West Molesey.

What's this MOT thing I hear you referring to? Oh how quickly one forgets!

In sunny Victoria, as long as you keep your vehicle registered there's no checks made. If you sell it or let the registration lapse (for more than 3 months) you need to get a roadworthiness certificate (MOT) before reregistering or the new owner registers it.

As in the UK plod can pull you for anything that looks a bit sus and send you off for a test (at your expense, even ifit passes).

On the whole I'm happy enough 'coz it means I dont have to spend a few hours getting back to legalish each year. However, I'm a little concerned about some of the bombs cruising about with bits hanging off and if they might contribute to an accident.
