I understand noise is no longer an issue in the MOT if the examiner is happy and there is no 'not for road use' etc stamped on them. In my MOT last month I rang first and explained that I had loud renegades fitted and was told this. The 'race only' stamps are 90% polished out of mine and it passed. If he had said no, I would have fitted the standards, but why bother

As I always say ..... get to know your MOT tester.
If they know you're not a spotty 17 yr old, look after your bike and bring bits of business their way, some of them can be really good chaps.
I may possibly have heard the comment at some place or other ........

TBH doesn't bother me - mine's road legal - well that's what it says and that's the (genuine) understanding I bought it under - but as I say, pays to know the chap.don't bother to change a loud can - as long as you don't make a lot of noise coming here and leaving, I'll not worry about it - it'll save you the hassle of changing it over before you come and changing it back again as soon as you get home
