I think my headlamp is OK but I have seriously loud "Blueflames" fitted and my MOT is due in a couple of weeks.

This will be my first test since I took possession of my bird.

what exhausts have you fitted?

Blue

I had blue flames, and they were reallyloud. Ended up with 2 set of standard cans, 1 mint, 1 with light damage, all scored cheap off ebay. So mot time I would just swap the cans, its takes about 5 mins. Still got em in my garage, must get rid of them

I understand noise is no longer an issue in the MOT if the examiner is happy and there is no 'not for road use' etc stamped on them. In my MOT last month I rang first and explained that I had loud renegades fitted and was told this. The 'race only' stamps are 90% polished out of mine and it passed. If he had said no, I would have fitted the standards, but why bother :smt001

Hmmmm I wonder...
My renegades say "for competition use"

Note the lack of the word only

Will have to see what spare cans I have I fear....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

As I always say ..... get to know your MOT tester.

If they know you're not a spotty 17 yr old, look after your bike and bring bits of business their way, some of them can be really good chaps.

I may possibly have heard the comment at some place or other ........
don't bother to change a loud can - as long as you don't make a lot of noise coming here and leaving, I'll not worry about it - it'll save you the hassle of changing it over before you come and changing it back again as soon as you get home
TBH doesn't bother me - mine's road legal - well that's what it says and that's the (genuine) understanding I bought it under - but as I say, pays to know the chap.
