Also in MCN this week pages 2/3 is what may be the new Falco replacement ??
i.e. the new 750 Shiver with a small top fairing.
Don't look bad, especially at around £6k. All we need now is a 1000 or even 1200 version at a few quid more and gettin really close.
Also in MCN - the new Falco ??????

Had a quick squint.
Not sure it does it for me - riding position looks a bit sit-up-and-beg and it appears somewhat more of a 'budget' design than the Falco.
Now I know that Aprilia hadn't intended selling the Falco at the price it eventually went for, but when you look at the quality parts and the general package for which I paid (just) under £5K (new) ... £6K for the 750 doesn't seem such a bargain.
First impressions:
Falco - Sports Light
Half-faired Shiver - Budget middleweight (e.g. Bandit, SV650, Fazer, Hornet etc)
.... hopefully first impressions are wrong and it'll look better in reality ..... not that we'll ever see one as Aprilia never bother to turn up at any bike shows in Britain .....

Think I would agree totally, but it's the nearest we'll get. The Falco came in too expensive so everybody went for the RSV WSB rep. as expected. It went out selling for a ridiculously low price for a quality bike and you got a superb bargain. Bad news was Aprilia lost money, so won't go there again.
Still this new Shiver looks good for average punters to be able to consider something like this rather than a 600 Hornet or Faser. Know which I'd go for if that's what I was in the market for. In real world, I'd just look for the best Falco I could get for that sort of money or less, sad ain't it, well not really!
