I have a Vango Omega 250 2 man for my solo camping trips. http://www.vango.co.uk/products/tentsIn ... d=25&id=19 It has aluminium poles so is very stable even in the strong Scottish winds. The large porch area is ideal for all my riding gear, helmet, boots and panniers, keeping the sleeping area dry for me. I've tried other tents before I bought this and the large, separate porch is essential IMO. This year'smodel is even better than mine as the porch groundsheet has an upstand to keep rainwater out. There are lighter, more expensive tents on the market but I'm delighted with this one. The 350 would be a better bet for 2 people.

Travelodge do some nice brick tents, they're all over the place so you just sleep in one and leave it where you found it when you move on.

Fortunately, for those of us who enjoy the outdoor joys of cold, rain, midges and sometimes sunshine, Travelodge don't build their tents in the best places to stop for a night!Travelodge do some nice brick tents, they're all over the place so you just sleep in one and leave it where you found it when you move on.

I use one of these which is light and weather proof and enough for one rider. But mine only cost £50 a couple of years ago. Now at £99!!

i went for http://www.tents-direct.co.uk/show_tent ... uctid=1091
it is bigger than some tents but I wanted something with an outer porch section - partly for dumping leathers etc in, also good for cooking under some shelter if needed....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Get yourself on to www.worldoftents.co.uk Try looking at their festival tent range.
They've got a huge range in size and price. Bought a few things from them from pegs and poles to a huge family sized tent (obviously not for thebike). Always had good service.

I've got a Freeman tent. Its a 2/3 man tent and quite big when pitched but actually pretty small when packed. Excellent thing about it is the porch is quite big and has a built in groundsheet so if its been raining you can put yr wet gear in there to dry without soaking your sleeping area. Might be worth a look?
