adding oil

#1 Post by finn » Sun Apr 12, 2009 9:24 pm

I have a scheduled oil/filter change in two weeks, but i think i need to add some oil as its very low. I dont know what oil is in it now, will it be a big no-no if the oil is mixed full/semi..

i would use semi..... just to be safe

if you only need a little bit - like 250 mls i think then buying a 5 litre pot would be a good idea before your oil change....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Can you mix different brands if the parameters stay the same (ie 10W 40 semi or whatever)?

It's pretty much unavoidable so I'd say yes too.
