The Good News:
- He seems pleased that things are progressing OK.
I asked him when I can start driving again .... and I can today - short journeys (but, hey, nobody's defined a short journey)
Gave me a prescription for a month's supply of painkillers too.
- The Mrs insisted on coming with me to hear what the Doc had to say.
She asked him when I can ride my bike again.
His response was "We don't like motorbikes - would be better if you don't ride it again"
... to which I made it very clear that was not an option ......
So, he then decided that the period that I must not ride for is 12 weeks from the date of the accident.
I had been planning on 3 or 4 weeks max ....................
Now, the biggest problem is the Mrs knows that he's said I can't ride for 3 months .... so I'm screwed!
What's worse is that 12 weeks from the date of the accident is 20th June. I've booked 3 weeks holiday in June so I can spend some of it visiting Europe on the bike .... that plan still to be discussed with the mrs .... that plan now doomed to failure.
Simple, you may say, delay your holiday. Not possible I reply. Holiday year ends at the end of June - no carry over permitted.
I am so pissed off !
AND 9 days after the incident and 4 days after producing my insurance for the police, I'm still waiting for the police to provide me with the details of the bloke that knocked me off. Can't progress the claim 'till I have that - which, when they took my details in the ambulance, they promised to phone through to me.
Went to the Police station and chased them again today .... call back after 10pm tonight and try to speak with the officer who is responsible .....
Sorry for the whinge ...... 3 bl@@dy months
