Perfect Afternoon

#1 Post by EdinburghFalco » Thu Mar 19, 2009 5:45 pm

Grinning like a Cheshire cat, just back from one of the best afternoons of biking I can ever remember. Had a few hours to kill so took the A68 down into the Borders from Edinburgh and ended up at Dryburgh Abbey. Beautiful weather, the roads were dry and empty tremendous combinations of long straights and sweepers and some twisties. FANTASTIC!:smt003 :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 wouldn't have wanted to be on any other bike, the Falco in 3rd just growled and howled and went like a bullet when the opportunities arose. Here's to a Spring and Summer filled with similar days, :smt001

It was indeed which was why I enjoyed this afternoon so much and its too early for the Caravan Kenneths or the American tourists doing 10mph so the roads are empty

Strand Quay in Rye was full of bikes last weekend, so god only knows how many more will be out this sunday after a week of unbroken sunshine.
Awful lot of them (bikes and riders) were much too shiny to have been out of the shed over the winter :smt005

What about the forest of Gatsos as soon as you cross into the land of the Haggis?
