Hmm.. a bit upright for my liking too. Is the ride height correct? Have you dropped the front forks (which would lower the front of the bike). Add some pre-load to the rear to jack it up a bit? These are all zero cost options but you could also try the Perky or Renegade side stand bracket which push the sidestand further out than standard. The Perky one comes up on ebay now and again for around £25 and renegade charge around £29 I think. I've got a spare bracket but I can't remember if it's the standard or a Perky's one - I'll have a look if you're interested.

The ride is the reason ........ the destination is just the excuse.

Gaz,

I can;t see the pics at work thanks to the IT nazi's, but I did look at home a while back and remember thinking that the stand you got looked a bit different to mine. I didn't look too closely, but I did't have the sticky outy bracket thingy. I used a GSXR 600 stand. Was yours a SRAD? I'm not sure they are fit for purpose.

On a more positive note, I'm thinking about going back to the original tilt plate (I've got a perky's one on and it leans too far) if it's all good with the old plate on the perky's one will be looking for a new home and it may make all the difference. They're quite cheap though, might be worth a try.

Yes, I was thinking about this one last night and thought that a good place to start would be checking the static sag. This may help:

Can you post some close-up pics of the actual stand itself and it's fitting arrangement on the bike, more than one would be good.

Here's my bike as fitted with GSX-R sidestand, you'll see it's leant over a lot further than yours appears to be, so something aint right..............and the last one is a comparison pic I found of the original and GSXR as fitted. Don't ask about the rear light, you can't get 'em anymore.

OOH!!!! Where did you get the rear light from, that looks class!! :smt003 Would be even better if you could get an multi led set up in it, like on a custom made board or something?? :smt002 :smt003

Sorry, couldn't resist! :smt002

You know I just wasn't sold on those Nooj LED boards (even though they were a good price), they just seemed like overkill to me. I've got LED bulbs and the balance is nicer, the whole back end isn't one big bank of LED's, they looked a bit Close Encounters :smt032 As to the lens, it really is mint, just glad I put my order when I did....but I've lost count of the amount of times I've been asked on forums where I got it.....please, no more!!

Hang on there sunshine, they look shite, simple as. (sorry there Nooj) They look like the arse end of starship, they are f****n overkill. Is that clear enough?? and some of us have decent other-halves who aren't slightly arsed if we spend a few quid on our bikes. The Ohlins shock, Mille wheels, Gilles rear sets, Gilles Variobars, Power Commander, Titanium hangers, Blue Flame exhausts, Wave Rotors, Mille arm etc etc is testament to this.....I suggest you trade in 'wor lass' for a good 'un, they're worth having......And as for missing the boat I'd suggest you checkout AF1 and you'll see my posts on the subject last year when Nooj first offered them for sale or should I copy you in on the PM's he sent over??
