would you let your woman ride your falco?

#1 Post by Steve_P » Tue Mar 03, 2009 6:14 pm

my woman keeps pulling over on her fazer and asking for the keys to my falco. She only passed her test 15 months ago, so its a big bike to ride when new, but she takes it easy on it and can ride it well.

Got a feeling she'll want a big V twin once shes got a bit more riding experience on the fazer.

I think you're a lucky man. My wife understands, but certainly doesn't share, my passion for bikes. She will never ride pillion, never mind her own bike. I'd love to be able to share my interest the way you can, even if it did mean swapping bikes occasionally!

Dude, your lucky!

it took me 2 years to get my ex to even accept my bike! i would love to have a partner to ride with! (no pun intended)

Aslong as she is insured, dont let it bother you! would it be a bad thing if she got a big bike?

The Missus doesn't need to ride my Falco, she has a Fazer and a Tuono of her own to ride.

my wife just understands

and she tells me that I will never sell the falco....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

My Mrs used to go everywhere on the back of my bike .... but then I didn't ride while the kids grew up ... and hated not riding.

She was very against me getting the Falco and riding again and barely acknowledges it exists - other than to tell me that it was a very selfish and self indulgent purchase.

She won't go on the back.

..... don't really think there's much chance of her wanting to ride it ..... but TBH I always wanted her to learn to ride.

my bird went out twice on the back of my srad and said, I dont like it, I want to ride for myself. Did her CBt and bought a CG125 then passed her test and got the fazer 600, and loves it, she grew up on dirt bikes in quarrys etc

Not an issue really, my Mrs can't touch the floor on my Falco as she's a wee short arse 5'4 and i've got the rear suspension up to max ride height :-D

My wife does occasionally go on the back, but doesn't enjoy it as: 1) too uncomfortable 2) too noisy 3) bit boring as she can only see the back of my head. I don't enjoy her being on the back because 1) buggers up the handling 2) I have to ride slower. Solution. I ride the Falco, she drives her SL320. :smt003
