Signature Blocks

#1 Post by Kwackerz » Thu Jan 29, 2009 12:21 am

On or Off?

Shall we turn them back on and let loose the Dogs of War? Sigs would be reinstated (poll showing it) subject to the rules that they contain No porn, No advertising and No abusive crap*.

Poll ends in 30 days time. Majority rule

Have them but set some boundaries first.

I'm assuming that we are talking about those images or banners or whatever I can call them that go on the bottom of one's every post (assuming you use one) ?

If so I am against mainly because of the amount of scrolling down necessary to follow a thread.

PS - haven't voted yet untill it's confirmed that I am barking up the correct tree. :smt017

I'd have them, so long as they don't contain loads of images - I log in from work, and am likely to catch the attention of the IT team if loads of "interesting" banners start getting downloaded.

That is what we are talking bout Fausto, and while I said "I'm easy", I would also be in favour of a review after a couple of weeks or so if we did adopt em. :smt001

Voted yes, but will be very happy to go along with the last few comments, regarding a review and some restrictions.
Just keep it sensible I suppose.

For an issue as contentious as this (well mildly so anyway) will it be a case of the yes votes having to outnumber the no AND don't care votes ?

I think it should :smt003

Within set boundries policed by the mods I think they are a great means of expression.

Although after Ligs post I was going to vote Yes ..... I'm now going to vote NO ..... nice picture but popping up on my PC at work would be much worse than being caught on the forum anyway .... and the snooping here is done remotely .....

Signatures need not be 'dodgily hosted' DR.

There is always your ISP provided webspace to host them on, which is usually work safe.
For an issue as contentious as this (well mildly so anyway) will it be a case of the yes votes having to outnumber the no AND don't care votes
The sitting on the fence crew will be generally put towards which ever way wins the vote.., they afterall said they dont really care either way.

I personally dont give a flying one. Sigs or no, doesnt bother me.
NO NO NO and NO from me

As the 'forum hottie', if you do a photoshoot, naked and holding an RS card in your hand, your vote takes precidence over all others. failing that chin up and see what gives with the vote.

I hear that www.photobucket.com do free photo hosting. Your public awaits... :smt019 :smt019
