Footpeg rubbers

Does anyone have/know where to find footpegs with rubbers on to fit Aprilia bikes?
I ask 'cos I'm sick of slipping on wet pegs and as the weather seems determined to never be sunny again (ray of sunshine? Me?) I thought it would be a good idea to swap the pegs.
Or find some kind of rubber sleeve to fit over the existing ones?

IMHO, they're awful. They look as if they just fell of the back of a Harley Ferguson delivery truck.
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.

Have to say the same, both look pretty crap to me. The first one is better but shouts chopper or custom to me.
I'd look at options from other bikes that may be adaptable.
Many non sports bikes, like my old CBR1000F, have single rubber inserts rather than complete rubber covers, these look good and may do a job if you can modify them to fit easily.
Will try to have a better look this weekend to see if these look adaptable for a Falco.
Could always take out the pegs and slip some rubber hosing over for the winter then take them of again when the beautiful summer weather returns. :smt003
Personally I seem to have just got used to them over 4 1/2 years, was worried when I got the bike but never been the problem I though it would be, perhaps my boots just grip better??

My boots slip on the pegs in whatever weather. I intend one day to replace them with some more aggressively rough pegs that will hopefully grip better.

Or I may take a file to the pegs and see if I can freshen up the texture a little.

Funnily enough I got new boots last week but have yet to try them.
Not sure it will make that much difference though as with the old boots there is no tread at the instep area which is often the bit resting on the pegs.

Has the forum done a group-buy of boots with Teflon soles and left me out of it?
Never had a foot-slipping problem myself - pegs always seemed grippy enough.

Now I'm not doubting those who are slipping about - what intrigues me is why some slip and some grip .... is it down to footwear, riding style or a bit of both?

Probably a bit of both

Either that or we're all unlucky enough to ride through oil/diesel filled puddles on a regular basis!
Mind you, I DO live in London so that may not be such a stupid thought... :smt017
