Falco 2002 Bargain £1900 with new battery today -updated

#1 Post by PeteL » Sun Dec 07, 2008 8:48 am

Hi
Ive been really enjoying the Falco...what an engine!! Not been able to get what i need for my hornet 600 and cant aford to have 2 bikes in the garage any longer, so it may prove easier to sell the Falco. I'm sure I'll come back to one later or an RSV, who knows
Would there be any interest in my Falco in Blue 2002? Standard apart from a cabon fibre front mudguard and derestricted. Has about 25000 miles. Just put irridium plugs, genuine airfilter and organic rear pads and xenon headlight bulb (phillips). I stripped and cleaned the front and rear calipers last month, pistons out etc. Runs and handles beautifully.
Datatool alarm with 2 fobs (S3 with fitting cert), 2 original keys, user manual, genuine tool kit, rear seat cowel and passanger seat.
Service history to nearly 20k with receipts for £1200
Its in excellent condition and in sheffield. A yellow one with 6k went on ebay 2 weeks ago for £2650.
Just fitted a top of the range battery this morning (with receipt)
looking for £1900 for a quick sale to someone on the forum or a friend, which is well under Parkers and could take cheque paypal etc. Could deliver nearby or organise reputable delivery at a really good price.
It was listed for a couple of days on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0281881467
will relist on ebay on Monday if no interest

It's a shame it has to go Pete .... hopefully circumstances will let you have another at some point ... you may even be able to upgrade to a Bronze one .... :smt002

Like most on here, I don't need another ..... but I'll link this to the Coventry Bikers forum in case there's anyone that wants to join me and Barking Frog and swell the number of Falcos.

When it goes, you're always welcome to drop in on the forum - it's bad enough loosing the Falcos - we don't want to loose the riders too ...

Thanks D-Rider, not been able to get on the forum much recently but will definately stay around and yes....I do fancy a bronze one. I looked at one a year ago, it was a immaculate with the SL carbon fibre cans, oh my god, what a sound! lost it to indecision. Thanks for the link. Its a great bike.

I'll post it up again .... we're egging someone on on the Coventry forum but he's worried about insurance .... I've suggested he gets a few quotes to find out whether his fears are justified ...

Thanks :smt023
Its a great bike at that price. I paid about £36 more for the falco than my Hornet 600 and £20 of that was an admin fee.

Hi Pete, Really sorry to hear you're having to sell the Falco, but as others have said don't be a stranger and visit us from time to time.

Personally I think you'll be back on a Falco before too much longer...

Reduced to £1900 with a new, top of the range, Yusa battery today. I believe these are used as genuine parts by Aprilia. Its such a bargain.
