Back to being a hoon

#1 Post by Aladinsaneuk » Fri Dec 05, 2008 2:51 pm

after a few weeks working away in the workshed, my servicing is all done

New plugs, oil and filter. K&N cleaned and reoiled
New conti road attack on the rear - The front is still very good so made sense to keep to the same type and save a few quid

battery in good order, thanks optimate :)

Interestingly enough the rear boot still had some life in it, and had done 6500 miles :)

Checked over the chain and sprocket, and any scottoiler doubters out there, please look away - both in excellent condition :)

New legal number plate fitted, with a new euro flavoured one to come - the makers screwed up so.....

bulhead mounting kit for the starcom fitted, along with the bluetooth adapter for the starcom - I do still have to be on call occassionally so I do have to be contactable :(

Horrible silvery faux carbon fibre tank protector removed... i do need to get a nice black one!

so, hopefully tomorrow morning I will be taking it to seastars to get a straight dyno run done to see what figures I get - am hoping for 120 ish - wish me luck!

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

SAM!! Nip down Seastars and have a word with them.. :smt002 Im sure you can get them to max out at 102 at the wheel... :smt002

120? Hmm Possibly.. if they strap it down hard enough... :smt002

Good luck with it. I reckon 118.

well, I need a decent map!

and rather disturbingly, kwackerz was right - 18.1 - am not going to share the map as it is awful, but will post up the completed map after it is done - Dyno chap reckons he would need about 2 hours for labour to set it up so will get that sorted when i have a day off work

LOL - that's only about 100 BHP down on stock ... bet you can get that much out of a CG125 with a bit of work .....

Oh gwaan, post the pic of the dyno sheet. It makes for interesting evaluation against what mods youve done.

While at seastars I did notice that they mainly sell mittens rather than gloves. Then I remembered the local's webbed fingers
