Red line threshold

Oy..

Yesterday morning i had a reset, and my red line threshold is now set to 6.000 RPM. After reading the manual i have tried to put it back to 10.000, but without luck. so maybe its time to not just read the manual, but also to follow it.

I press "C" and press it again within 3 sec.
when the needle starts to increase i press "C" again at 10.000 RPM.... but it does not work, what am i doing wrong.

I think you have to hold C down until it reaches the revs you would like?

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Presumably setting the red line threshold doesn't just set when the red light flashes at you, it also tells the limiter to cut in at that point?

It's just an indicator.
you can set it to what ever you want.
I don't like to rev 'em out so mine's set for peak torque.

Nah - the limiter is set at 11k or something (I have hit it once or twice) :smt053

Yeh, as Andy says the real rev limiter comes in somewhere just short of 11k I think, you only set the warning light itself.

10750 if my missed gear quick squint was right.....

and can i just say that doing that REALLY sorts the constipation out if you are thwacking it.....

Yep Minime, have not been out driving, but when i turn on ignition the needle go to 10.000 so i guess its fixed.
btw a quick question for you Minime. When cars stop for red light and you have like two lanes of cars, is it then legal in The Nederlands for a MC to go in between the cars to get up in front? Everybody does it here, including me, but just want to confirm if i by accident should pass a policecar. Thanks
