depends - 2 into 1 cans definitly will not

am uncertain as to two pipe systems though

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I think mounting points (welded onto the cans) are in different places. I think.

The latest RSV / Tuono have a different subframe to the Falco so the chances are very slim. Post this up up on the AF1 site and you may get a Scottish Tuono / RSVR owner to let you try his/ her std pipes.

There's only 2 or 3 of us non falco owners left on the Aprilia riders site I'm afraid.

They'll need to use this to ship them:

And you may need an upgrade, too. Something along these lines?

Don't tell me off fleabay last night?,
If so I was following them myself, but I have 2 sets of cored cans plus 2 sets of std ones in the garage so I thought it might be a bit greedy to try for those as well. £30 is a superb price though, I did manage to get another set (not perfect condition) for £11.50 off ebay a month ago myself. The seller was deeply upset but fair play to him he honoured the deal with no problems

I don't think you'd lose too much (if at all) on those if they don't fit though

Let us know the outcome

cans

#8 Post by sthomson1 » Mon Oct 06, 2008 11:41 am

Yip, won them last night on ebay.
Im collecting them tonight.

I take it their heavy :-) ... i just want to shut my Falco up ... its really loud with the race cans ... a wee bit embarrassing.
I repacked my race cans and fitted baffles ... its still too loud.

I do like the exhaust note with the race cans (who wouldnt), but, on a long run, their a nightmare.

Ill post some photos with the RSV cans ... if they fit !

Have some standard Falco cans if you are interested.

Wear ear plugs. They will protect your long term hearing regardless of how loud your bike is.

cans not

#13 Post by sthomson1 » Mon Oct 06, 2008 7:56 pm

RSV exhaust cans do NOT fit a falco ....
no where near. Brackets about 2 inches out (easily moved), but ... the connection between can and exhaust is completely different...different bore size .. the inner bore of the RSV can is the same size as the outer bore on the falco exhaust.

anyone got standard falco cans for sale ... need shipped to Glasgow though !! ??

the mounting point isnt the problem, its the connection between the silencer and exhaust.
