Interesting MOT fact.

#1 Post by Fausto » Wed Sep 17, 2008 4:37 pm

I had the yearly attempt to find fault today - no problems.

The MOT guy is very friendly and a biker and on the subject of number plates said that last year the authorities were pressing hard on exact digit size/spacing etc... but that this year they have withdrawn the criteria and just say 'as long as you can read it from 15 metres'

Bloody waste of time me refitting the old barn door plate and adding spacers to the indies so they'd clear it then wasn't it! :smt005

My plate is a bit dodgy too... not a complete piss-take but I think 1" by 1" too small. But its gone through 2 MOTs.

..... not that you'll be able to get your hands on a non-compliant plate after 1st November:
