Wanted down pipes etc
I was just thinking, as y' do, what with all of the single exhaust brigade here that there may be one or two sets of downpipes etc wot is not being used and could possibly, not to lower the tone be for sale for a song, just hoping like as I have a cunning plan.

There were a set on ebay I noticed today - with about 5 hrs to go, they were at about £10 .... that was more than 5 hrs ago though and now they've gone.
As for mine, all the standard bits and pieces are being stored in order to return it to standard trim should I ever decide to sell (TBH that's not very likely though). I guess should it ever become a classic, again standard trim might be the way to go.
Sorry.

PMSL ..... is this Gio's self defeating argument?Gio wrote:Singles are so yesterday. Fact is a bike engine that's designed for twin exhausts works best as twin exhaust regardless of the mods.
Only cheap bikes have singles
The Falco's engine was designed for the Mille .... which had a .... wait for it .... 2into1 exhaust system (as opposed to the Falco's 2into1into2).
So those of us that have fitted the Mille 2into1 exhaust have actually done our bit to return it to the configuration for which it was designed.

Source= http://www.spinnersofidaho.com/Aprilia/home.htmIn 1998 Aprilia launched what is its current flagship model the RSV Mille, a 1000 cc V2 Superbike, and the Falco, a 1000 cc V2 sport tourer with emphasis on sport. Both bikes used a variation of a Rotax 1000 cc engine.

I'm afraid it IS the same engine Gio - same as the first Milles anyway. They did revise the Mille engine (I think it was arround 2000) and chucked in some bigger valves. These mods weren't carried over to the Falco which retained the original Mille engine.Gio wrote:

My point was that the Mille was certainly designed before the Falco and donated its engine to the Falco
