It might be up for sale

#1 Post by bigun » Wed Aug 27, 2008 10:15 am

Well, never thought I'd say this but I'm being tempted by the dark side!

Mille R's (the old shape with Ohlins) are becoming very cheap and I have to say I'm not resisting the temptation!

Think I'm gonna put the Falco on ebay and in local trader and see what interest comes up. If nothing I'll keep it. I'm tempted to sell it as it is or put it back to standard so there could be clear rear lense, nooj led rear lights, rsv swingarm and suspension, HID headlight conversion, bellypan to name but a few.

If you decide to sell it I would very much like the clear lens and maybe the Nooj board.

And I'm definitely up for the HID headlight conversion. If you have aftermarket cans or a Rene/Evo airbox, I could also be tempted. Not that we want to see you leave the Falco fold or anything...

RSVR s are going exceptionally cheaply, but finding a decent Mk 1 will prove very hard nowadays... Beautiful bikes though.
They are bloody good bikes and there's no shame in owning one!

You could always go the falco tuning route, but in reverse.. add a falco Swing arm, etc... :smt002

actually, in my personal message i did try and say stay.....

but i also put some markers down..... oh, and what vultures? we don't wait for something to die, we pounce as soon as it has a slight cough and looks a bit peeky....

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

RSVR has all the goodies that we tend to put on the Falco ... so largely a "ready made" project.

If yo've no issues with the rider ergonomics and the styling (and I'm not suggesting you should have) then sounds a good thing to do .... and you can still play on the forum :smt003

Silly question, but do you fit comfortably on an RSV mate?

Vultures the lot of ya! Ha ha!

I'm only putting the feelers out but if I get the right price then yes, it will be going. Nice thing is, I like it soooo much, I won't be dissapointed to keep it. Its just a RSV-R has that little bit more and now we've had a baby, I'm not keen on having the missus on board (risk and all that). Having full on sports bike might keep her off! (Don't tell her that though).

Size wise, if anything, the RSV is a bit better as its a little taller so suits me. I get on with pretty much anything tho (if you can cope with an early Kwack 636, you can cope with anything), its just my right ankle that gives me grief after a while but thats an old rugby injury that I can't strap up and get my boots on at the same time!

On the bits front I've also got a double bubble screen and the legendary powder coated red wheels (although I'd need to do a swap for standard ones).

Will keep you all posted. Actually, clear rear lense - £3000. I'll chuck the bike in fer nowt!

:smt003

PS I would advertise it here but you've all got one.
