After trying to ignore a millions posts on how great the ABBA stand is I finally collapsed! :smt013

Thanks to you lot I now want to own one. :smt019

Is the ABBA site the only place that sells them or are there better deals available? :smt017

There's one on eBay right now direct from Abba it seems, and its coming in at less than a 100 quid delivered. Seems like a bargain to me, and I'm considering one myself.

Thing is, I have a rather funky setup of breeze blocks, axle stands and steel pipe... :smt003

direct from abba is cheapest - via ebay I think

BUT

when you buy the stand, and get the right mounts for your specific bike, spend the extra 15 quid or so for the swing arm kit - that is a set of bolt mounts that screw in to foot rest mounts so you can remove the rear swing arm

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Oooh, that's clever, I might have to get a set of them :smt001

Someone at the Club Aprilia day was selling Bee Gee stands (very bad joke). They looked to be the same as Abba stands, but I'd guess they would be cheaper. Can't remember who it was though.

I picked mine up direct from ABBA for 84 Quid, a few units down there is the mighty oak brewery, I reccomend Maldon Gold, 26 quid for 18 pint minipin, ask for Julie.

These are not necessary in my opinion. I used Aprilia mounts, they went into the footpeg mounts, just protected them with yellow shrink wrap:

The bike was dead stable for almost a week in windy conditions on a driveway. Spend your 15 quid on some beer. :smt006

Edit: As you can see I stabilized the bike additionally with a small bottle of still water. Worked a treat. :smt003
