I get a better class of email than Howard.

I am writing to warn you of a scam in which fraudsters are sending out emails, supposedly from H M Revenue and Customs, saying that you are due a tax refund and asking for bank details etc. The emails are very realistic and have the correct H M Revenue and Customs header and logo.

H M Revenue and Customs have stated that they would never ask for personal information by email, so you should not respond to any such requests.

On a serious note some of the fraudulent financial emails are scary.
We filter out hundreds and hundreds of them every day on our email and some look pretty real, others are so false you could fall over laughing.
