BSM & Silverstone set the new benchmark in bike training

#1 Post by TC » Thu Jul 10, 2008 6:58 pm

The motorcycle training experience is ready to roar forward as BSM launches its new training programmes and initiatives at Silverstone from 3rd August 2008.

The Silverstone & BSM brands are working in partnership to offer a high-quality training experience. The new centre at Silverstone is being set up as the flagship site for BSM and will offer both pre-test and post test training under the dual brand.

The brands will also be jointly offering the ‘Motorcycle Experience’ – a special opportunity for potential motorcyclists to experience riding a motorcycle for the very first time, with the security of riding on a safe off-road area under the supervision of fully qualified instructors.

This new Silverstone centre will operate throughout the year, except when the circuit is handed over for the British Grand Prix and on other limited occasions..The centre features a purpose fitted stand-alone reception and training building and enormous off road training areas which are ideal for new riders. In addition, the high quality circuit facilities will also be at the disposal of riders .

The motorcycle sector will benefit from the introduction of training centres such as Silverstone. The high standards and new facilities are aimed at attracting new riders. BSM believe that the facilities reflect a desire to make the training experience as accessable and enjoyable as possible, that riders will be trained on new machines all linked to the involvement of high profile manufacturer involvement will create a new bench mark for rider training in the UK.

All they are doing is copying what has been done at Donnington for years, and given BSM's reputation in the car world and given that they took over CSM who already had a bad reputation, this could be interesting! :smt017

Scepticism aside (and I understand your comments about BSM) it's still got to be a good thing.

A comment I always make to new riders is that you can never learn enough and too keep learning.

At least this provides another place to get more experience.
