Falco frame
Hi, I just saw this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/APRILIA-FALCO-SL- ... 286.c0.m14
And an idea came to my mind. Perhaps it would be a good idea for a forum group buy. The frame would be bought with UK forumers money, it would be stored in a certain place like one's garage in case of something happening to someone's bike.
My way of thinking is: once you crack the frame in a spill, the bike is totalled. But if there is a frame readily available for say, 200 quid, well, that means the bike is saved. I saw a Falco engine with a few thousand miles on it going for a hundred quid...
We could even establish some sort of a bank of spare parts for Falcos, some things, like this frame are ultra rare, and definitely unaccessible in the time when you need them.
I have a spare rear subframe that I don't need, I bought it from the other forum member who didn't need it etc. It just keeps on traveling around and Royal Post is making money...You get my point by now.
The main problem is obviously a storage place and organizing the thing.
Unfortunately I probably need to declare myself out straight away as I moving back to Poland as you know, so I just wanted to plant the seed here for you to think about it.

Between all of us, could we use all our collective spare parts to build a complete bike and flog it on e-bay?
I've got a full stock exhaust system, stock swingarm, screen, airbox and wheels and a spare seat.

One of us must work for an engineering comany so it should be easy enough to 'aquire' the relevent parts. Failing that, there's always cable-ties and gaffer tape "Oh yeah, that's a special WSB mod to allow some extra flex into the frame, it's the next big thing you'll be seeing at all the track days, guv."paddyz1 wrote:We got the parts but not the fittings
Should only cost about a grand for all the nuts and bolts nobody has.

What? People still have them? Mine went in the bin.40 pairs of MEZ3 tyres

Need the readies to pay for the Bulldog Bash tickets. Besides, this isn't my original one, it's one I bought a while ago, also to powder coat, so I'd like to get some of that cost back if I can.

I know you were taking the wee wee, just thought I'd explain why I'm trying to sell it rather than giving it away. Makes conversation dunnit.
