...guess what finally happened to me?

Luckily, it broke the stand in the process so I'm forced to shop and mod now.

Bugger, I feel your pain

..VTR stand is the way to go...well it was for me. Much damage apart from the stand? (no loss!)

now I have refitted the standard stand, following some shock adjustments, I do have a spare VTR stand, WITHOUT the switch btw
if you want it, let me see how much the postage is, cover that and you can have it
(Or if you fancy a long ride out, shamble up to east anglia and we can fit it on in a half hour)
Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

...one of my pretty mille indicators busted, along with the clutch lever and a couple of small grazes to front and rear bodywork. Main frame crash bung worked keeping rest off the deck. Feel like I've been destroying the thing by installment lately

6 months ago - barely a scratch, then my welsh whoopsydaisy, now this... mostly cosmetic but ... oh fuggit - it was the prettiest thing I'd ever bought so I was just asking for trouble.
Aladinsaneuk - re: the sidestand - if the offer still stands (no pun intended) I will take you up on the VTR visit. Just let me know a convenient Saturday...

fair enough..... make him bring a standard falco to yaxley... how cruel is that..... we had better do a credit check for him as some of our mods may be of interest to him......
it really is an easy job though - just need a paddock or abba stand
I am actually off this week if you have any days off during the week however - offer is there either way

...will find out when this ride-aprilia day is and get back to you - otherwise the 28th should be cool. The damage to the oem stand actually consists of the lowering lever thingy having snapped right off

. A day later and I've got the hang of hooking the stand down with my toe without a dismount, though I'll still replace the bugger.

FYI there's an american chap selling a US side stand inc postage over the pond to the uk for 150 US Dollars if anyone's interested. I was tempted but set myself a top budget of 100 usd.
