Now it's been ages since I heard owt about Def Leppard. I think I was about 23 the last time.. around the 'Hysteria' album.. maybe after.. anyways, was sent an email saying theyve a new album out..

Tells yer what, They still kick it...
LOUD!
On a slightly different musical tack, I must say Im growing fonder of Avril Lavigne's current music... Very listenable, even if it's still a bit on the poppy side..
Keep going back to this MSN Set she did..
http://msninconcert.msn.com/music/Avril ... rtist.aspx
There are a few gems in there (as well as a decent cover of Knockin' on Heaven's Door)
Hohum! What's yer current Poison (pun intended for the glamrockers) musically?

Well, seeing as you asked, I think Def Leppard are crap. I half liked the first album (on through the night) but everything I've heard since has been pathetic. (sorry can't listen to the link - no speakers plugged in at the mo) They'll have to have improved some to get me to listen though.
Don't know anything about the Lavigne woman.
I honestly can't think of any recent new album I have really loved. Lots of oldies but nothing new.
I hope it's just my age or something but I fear it may be a reflection of the music industry.
As the weather is improving I will probably be returning to summer music like Bari by Ojos de Brujos to help wash down the wine

They should have been called Deaf Leopard.
Crap next to the likes of Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath etc

Leppard always have and still do Kick Ass, but must admit I ain't got the new one yet, but expect to shortly.
Best Brit rock group in recent years by a long way.
P.S. the fact they come from Sheffield does help a bit I suppose.
Their show when they "came home" to Don Valley Stadium a few years ago was absolutely brilliant.

Sod it I missed that.
Always been a Floyd fan.
Just watchin Jimmy Cliff on Jools, pretty good for a bloke his age.
(
He's even older than me and Gio!),
Although there may not be too many fans on here!

I like Jimmy Cliff H...I have fond memories of hanging round the fairground when I was young listening to the likes of him, dave and ansel collins (double barrel) and wet dream by max romeo
Plus i used to pal around with a couple of skinheads so reggae/ska was played regular on the old stereogram ha ha
Miffed that I missed cliffy on jools...mind you jools gets in the way somtimes ....plinkety plonkety honky tonk "knees up mother brown type piano playing"

. but I think I notice it more cos I used to play in a band.

I'd have watched that just for Cliff but I loathe Holland, he's rubbish.

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I'm with GIO - Thin Lizzy are my all time fave band - see the avatar !. saw them loads of times. Classic line up Lynott, Downey, Gorham and Robertson. No one else came close. Went to Dublin to see the satue on Grafton St and visit Philip's grave.
