I was in town at lunchtime and noticed a "Closing down sale" sign outside a local electrical shop.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I picked up a 7 megapixel camera by Practica for £15 and a 4 megapixel camera by Vivitar for my daughter for a tenner
Both have all the usual functions including zoom, camera bags, 32mb memory with facility for a standard memory card, so all in all I thought I got a pretty good deal.
The shop is closing down because the lease has expired and they simply wanted to shift all the stock

So whens the closedown day?
I'm about 45 mins from reading central so it'd be ggod for my daughter as she needs an SLR next year at college (she's got 2 digi camera's)
IMO you can't beat a proper camera for quality pictures.

Didn't have any SLR's only digital, but I know what you mean as my daughter is also doing photography at college next year. Glad I never threw out my Olympus SLR but that is another story.
They had 15 and 17 inch flat screen LCD TV's for £15, Binatone and BT triple pack cordless phones for £10, Camcorder was £19, MP4 players for £3.
If I had been able to get the car to the shop I could have had a field day, but anyway they were on the last day of the sale, but I will check again tomorrow just in case

Check out fleabay, there's stacks on there going for next to nothing because everyone wants digital. Not long bought full darkroom setup for 20 quid, just trying to find somewhere to get the chemicals from.

Advantage to new with a 17 year old is the guarantee, do fleabay offer that?
