Recovering Overwritten data

#1 Post by FlyingKiwi » Thu Mar 20, 2008 8:17 pm

Hi geeks,
I took some pics the other day and in my haste to file them I overwrote some of them. I've tried some software and can find deleted pics but can't see the ones I know were there.
They're still on my cameras Xd card.
Can they be recovered?
Can I do it for free? A lot of the shareware shows you the pics then wants $29.99 to recover them :smt013
cheers
FK

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Multistage recovery 3.6 pro did a good job. Picked it up as a freebie off Giveaway of the Day.

There is occasionally worthwhile stuff on there.
