Scariest flight I ever did was my very first, a scenic flight round Land's End from St Just airport. Can't remember what the plane was, something very ancient covered in canvas with patches all over it, took about 8 passengers. Took off over the cliff edge, plummeted down towards the sea, got a lot of buffeting then gradually climbed away from the water - and they did that about 6 times a day!
That said, I think I might have thrown up on the one above!

The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

mmmm that first one reminds me of my return from Japan last November. Final hop was from Dubai to Birmingham. The plane was helpfully equipped with forward facing cameras displaying their pictures on the headrest screens.
Very strong crosswind coming in - great views of anything but the runway as we approached at quite an extreme angle. Lurching down, last second straighten up and there's the runway just as we touch down.
Well within fractions of a second my brain calculated "shit - he's never going to stop this thing by the end of that runway" ... we were already half way down it and Birmingham's runway isn't the longest ....
Pilot must have come to the same conclusion at about the same moment as the throttles were cracked open and up we went again ... ready for another go .... which was fun - but at least he got it stopped that time.
Been in on a few cross winds since and, well, not too keen on them now.
Fortunately the trip back from Japan last week was a bit smoother.

Looks interesting, bit like a fairground ride.
I'm flying in just over 6 weeks but daren't show this clip to the wife, she would not go.
There again might show her and enjoy myself on hols, if you can enjoy it without a bike.

I'm flying twice in April, first to Estoril MotoGP to see JT, then off on hols to Cyprus at end of month. It gets you thinkin a bit, our last flight back into Manchester in January nearly got diverted because half way back the side winds were too high in Manchester for our Airbus A310, then at last minute the wind dropped to an "acceptable level" and we were allowed to land, but came in a bit sideways. First time I've been a bit worried landing for some time, then you see what can come next. Thought I'd not bother showing it to the wife, then they showed it on the bloody 10 O'Clock news!
