Skidmarx bellypan...mounting points?
Chaps...got hold of a Skidmarx bellypan (thanks Nigel) but I am at a loss as to how to mount the rear of it to the bike. There are two pre-drilled holes either side to the rear which don't seem to marry up to anything obvious...or am I missing the obvious (quite possible
). Does it require some extra fettling or a bracket of some description, anyone shed some light?

Ya gotta make a couple of brackets fella!
You should be able to offer the pan up to the bike n figure out the best bolts to use and what type of bracket you need. One of em, (gear lever side I think), needs to be S-shaped...
If I could be arsed Id go out n look at mine but its blowing a gale out!...

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

Only problem you now have is lining them up, as you can't see much when the belly pan is in place. Start with the brackets a bit loose on the engine so you can still move them a bit, then line up the belly pan and move the arms slightly until it looks OK. Take belly pan off and fully tighten the mounts onto the gearbox and put it back again.
I now locktight all four bolts, each time I replace the unit, as I once lost the bolt that goes through the fairing to the bracket. Needed because you can't tighten this one up too much without damaging the fibre glass.
Almost forgot, I also use rubber tap washers between the panel and the bracket to stop any risk of cracking the belly pan.
Good luck with it mate, IMO the bike looks 100% better with the belly pan fitted.
