If the plastics are bad, maybe streetfighter it? And deffo get a Gixer/VTR/USA sidestand or mod the OE-un!
I cant begin to describe how the anxiety of parking up, (especially in the wind), has dissapeared since I fit the Gixer stand last year!
Best mod Ive ever done, (n how Prila got away with the OE sidestand in the first place; Whether on the Falco, Mille or Tuono, beggars belief!
Bad luck mate but keep her, (ya know ya wanna; Just wait til the good weather starts-up!
), and get a Gixer 6/7 stand!
Requires very little 'fettling' but you can keep the s/s cutout switch as an extra Brucie-Bonus!
One ere;

Or better still, ere;

I posted how I did it a while ago on the old Prila Site when I did the swap, but here is one picture that I think sums up the reason for swapping to the Gixer sidestand...

Spot the difference!
EDIT. Just re-read n noticed you need a brake lever; There are regularily a few cheap, (around £25), pairs o pattern levers on Ebay, (same as the RSVs and Tuonos at least around 99-2003 models), though the quality is only as good as you pay.
Ive a pair of tatty OE uns that Id like to hold on to 'just in case' but I swapped em out fer some wrong-colour-red cheapies off Ebay...
Maybe go fer the black or silver next time!

i v managed to find and buy a pair of new mirrors tonight , and i bought a left and a right clip on , just in case as i know there hard to find , all im looking for now is a break lever but that will be tomorow, and the stand,
there is nothing wrong with my falco , apart from the scrapes , what i ment was the cost of filler and a respray to get it looking good, , and i know there will be another oneout there somwhere at the right price .
i still have
screen and belly pan to fit i will see how it looks when i put it all together
iv had her 17 months and cant see me driving anything else at the moument ,one of the best fun bikes iv had ,and iv tried a few
btw falcomonky that stand looks alot better , and iv just bought the second one thanks , i will look for fitting thread later,
cheers ,,,,just front lever to get now, i did see them in pairs but looking for one as the clutch lever is brand new from last fall ,

Amen to that n glad to be of service mate; The Gixer stands are a doddle to fit as well as being waaaay more suited to the job!joecrx wrote:one of the best fun bikes iv had ,and iv tried a few
