Just spreading the word - If you get a phone call from a very plausible sounding Natwest sales team for this, hang up.
It's a very well organised, very well researched and very plausible identity theft operation. My parents have recently been trapped into this, despite them being very shrewd and wary.
After the call the immediately called Natwest to verify, and initiated anti-ID theft proceedings with their own bank, so avoided any actual loss.
They might have a mailing list to work from, because they had name and phone number. The call sounded as though it originated from an Indian call centre.

Thanks for the heads up, I bank with Natwest and am expecting a call from them! So despite my usual suspicious nature, I might have been vulnerable to this one - although I can't imagine anyone persuading me to give any details over the phone.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.
