Stripping

#1 Post by Goldie » Fri Jan 25, 2008 11:55 pm

So a weekend of stripping beckons....

...that is stripping off most of the interesting bits …

Belly-pan
Hugger
Shock
Rear Lens
Cylinder Caps
Airkit

…and there could be others. Watch the “For Sale” section…

I hear the distant wail of crossed tuning forks!!

Well of course she's outstanding... she's a Falco. :smt004 :smt004 :smt004

But she's also trade-in fodder, and she's off... :smt003 :smt003 :smt003

Why? I just fancy a change. Since the end of last summer I have developed a strange longing for an R1. No particular reason, I just want one. Had a test ride in October and liked it a lot. Then Mr Yamaha decided to offer interest-free credit, and the balance was tipped. (Actually the balance was already tipped, 0% was just a handy bonus :smt003 ).

So on 1st of March I get a shiny new R1. :smt004

...and it's a Renegade Airkit...
...and it's a smoked rear lens...

I guess Sabestian has first dibs on the lens (pm me an offer?), and someone else has first refusal on the shock.

what front forks are on it??

just in case i weaken you understand..... Is the last part of the falco I think I can do... well - actually I do have a few more ideas but :)

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

I have asked a few times on here about 2nd hand renegade airkits with no success. What about this time, Goldie. Is it available ?

I know I shouldn't be asking, but what colour is the belly-pan, please?
It's the V-twin thing. There's just something about it that inline-4s don't have at all, and V-4s don't have enough of.
