Do You Remember your first Bike? What was it? and how much did it cost?
I asked my Dad if he would buy me an FS1E as all my mates had them!! He said No!
I asked him if he would loan me the money for one!! He said no!
Consequently my first bike was a 'Pedal to get speed' NSU Quickly Non runner for 10 bob!
Did it up quick! Sold it,and kept climbing the ladder!

One like this.

Most successful Brit bike ever even with it's Kraut antecedents.
Production eventually topped 200/ day.
175 cc and about 7.5hp.

Mine was shared with two mates (only way we could afford it ...cost us a whole tenner!!)
An army green Francis Barnett 197, with no exhaust, a bit of sponge for a seat, it was great
Then after several wrecks swapped a guitar and amp for a Bultaco 250 Pursang mettise non runner ...but not for long! soon had it rasping away..what a bike, and worth a bomb now!! ..wish I still had it

I would have loved an RD250!..several bikes on from my first bike I was offered a Suzuki Hustler 250 that was 3 years old, The mate who owned, it, fell off it on his first day of riding it, repaired it: greased it: Stored it for 3 yrs and gave it to me for £130 quid..first day riding it was fantastic, couln't keep the front end off the ground...What a day!![/url]

CZ 250 twin. Cost me £40. was a complete POS and I had my first tankslapper while overtaking a car at 60mph. I had to keep going. Would loved to have seen the drivers face as this POS jibbering wreck wobbled past. Those were the days of no ta/mot/insurance/licence.
Oh to be young free single and carefree.

One of these... 1985 KX125. Cost me 2nd hand the equivalent of £180. Fell off riding the river by my house and managed to bent the handlebars!

First "bike" was a Puch M50S, clapped out but fun. A bit like me, now!!!
First
real bike was a new KH250 in 1977. Perfect.

Honda C50
Well, I didn't own it - belonged to my Dad, but it was what I started on and what I passed my test on!
My dad bought it just before I was 16 so we could both use it. He knew I would be restricted to a 50cc moped so got the C50. Trouble was, he hadn't realised that it had to have pedals by which you could pedal it to qualify as a moped ..... which meant I had to wait 'till I was 17 to ride the thing.
First bike that was mine was a CB 175 K5.
(bikes pictured aren't my ones)
