Hmmmm.......

#1 Post by Myrkk » Thu Jan 24, 2008 11:09 pm

........ dilemma.

Stay in UK and potentially pay off mortgage in 2yrs [potentially]

or

Go to NZ and accept that money will be tight and mortgage will be on for another 15yrs.

Hubbies new company is currently doing very well. Now we're worrying that we're shooting ourselves in the feet by going.

I still want to go but am thinking perhaps we should postpone it a year. We've nearly got our blue stickers.......... just a couple of questions to answer and the interview to go through........ then we have a year to activate our blue stickers (visa).

Now I've typed it up it seems like a no-brainer. :smt017 or is just I am a no-brain her?

stay in uk and stretch time out - clear the mortgage and then go

Let's face it, you wouldn't go to a nurse to get good advice on a problem with a Falco - you'd choose an Engineer or a mechanic...

If either of you have serious doubts about the timing there is not much to be lost by a years delay by which time I'm sure the situation will have become clearer.

When in doubt - do nowt.
The tragedy of old age is not that one is old, but that one is young.

I expect the job market will get worse now that Gordon has run away from his mistakes and we have a Chancellor who shouldn't be allowed near a small change box.

A year is a long time in politics when they are so crap.
