advertised as running
saw a gt750 advertised in the papers as in not too bad condition for year and was advertised as running anyway phoned the guy and went down to see it, bike ok to look at but wasn't running. sent the guy for petrol (tank was empty almost) spent ages cleaning the plugs ect and eventually got it running. i didn't offer the guy his asking price as i had done work to get it running, so he said he would think it over and phone me next day. cheeky beggar phoned this morn and said the fact that it was running and had heard it doing so justified him asking full price.....only wanted the thing as a back-up incase the other 750 had to go off road or for spares
Well I suppose it's up to you to only pay what you think it's worth and for the seller to sell it for what they are happy to accept. If there's a gap then it's not going to sell.
It's always a risk when you go to see one - but if it wasn't you wouldn't need to bother to go to look at it.
Annoying but I guess that's just the way it is.
