mmm nice.

Got to try to work out which capacity some are ie where they made the same bike with 2 engine sizes.

Even got one of them in my garage.

Can't really start proper work on it yet though - things to do tonight. :smt012

well I know what you mean andy - I assume you mean the 250/350/400 kwacka or the 250/350 yammy?

and nice quiz paul - has made me think and also remember a few bikes fondly....

OK Fausto - I've got my answers together as best I can. From your first post in the thread it seems that you want our answers posted here rather than PM'd to you .... I do hope I've got that right. Anyway here goes:

1. Yamaha RD350LC

Yamaha Italic Wheel, Twin Disks, Radiator.
Not an XJ or a TR1 due to the rad. Not an LC 125 or 250 as twin disks. LC500 didn’t have italic wheels …. So I’m going to have to go for an RD350LC. However, the mudguard is too short and not sure about the chrome strip on the rad. I’m hoping it’s a non standard mudguard and it has a rad guard on it.

2. Obviously a Suzuki GT380 or GT550 but I don’t know how to tell one from the other – I know there was extremely little to distinguish them.

3. Van Veen OCR 1000

4. Honda CBX 1000

5. Moto Guzzi Griso 1100

6. Yamaha RD 400

7. Buell RS1200
(took a while to dawn on me what this was - had it in my head for ages that it was a Voxan - shape of the air filter box put me back on track)

8. Yamaha VMX1200 V-Max

9. Triumph X75 Hurricane

10. BMW F800 S

11. Honda CB400F (TBH, Not sure whether an F or an F1 – need to see the rear pegs – certainly not an F2)

12. Moto Morini Corsaro 1200 Veloce

Could probably have an educated guess at half of em but most seem to fall in my 'gap years' from biking. :smt012

Number 1: RD350LC however I was surprised to see the front wheel on the floor. They never usually are.. well never used to be when they passed me.. as a kid..
Number 2: Suzuki GT. Dont know which model
Number 3: Dunno.
Number 4: Honda CBX1000. Tank gives it away followed by the engine
Number 5: Dunno. I had it down as a Laverda.
Number 6: Yamaha RD250MX
Number 7: Buell, Dunno the rest. That back rest gave it away, as well as the engine... and the Exhaust underslung like a Cortina.
Number 8: Yamaha VMax
Number 9: Had it down as a Kwack.
Number 10: Havent got a Clue I did think Aprilia but sacked it cos they have some semblance of styling. That doesnt.
Number 11: Gio's got one sat in his garage at the mo! Honda CB400/4
Number 12: Dunno. Some V twin thumper. Probably Ducati derived?

I got the Suzi GT from this pic.
*edited to remove it for the mo*
It did show some pics (my search) of the 300, but i couldnt see the cable entering the housing like it shew on this pic and the one posted for the quiz.

Was it me, or does Nr 3 smack of being a kawasaki? Apart from that Engine!!

I'll leave the answers for a while in case anyone else wants a stab.

Agreed with Kwackerz that No3 has the look of a Kwak... Z1300 perhaps?

See what you mean - I'd never really noticed the similarity before .... must just have pigeonholed it in the limited number of rotary bikes I know

Well can't say that I'm sure but I think the exhausts look more like the 400 than the others .... but could be quite wrong.

Disc is another giveaway from it not being a kwack. Single discs are left mounted on early kwacks :smt002

Wasn't a hard one - spent many a ride blowing them away with my 400/4 - so it was very easy to identify (although, as I said, I really have no idea if this is a 380 or a 550). Two brothers in our village had matching GT380s in black with consecutive registrations. Kwacks would have been a tougher job until we reached the twisty bits - then no probs!

Was that until you had to stop to make adjustments to the engine?
Didnt the camchain tensioners or something go on them repeatedly necessitating a stop at the side of the road? Im sure I read something like that when I was researching the 400/4 (when i was going to rebuild the one I ended up offering up to Gio)
