I'm with you there - I prefer the standard shape screen. Although it looks even better in smoked !

The only thing is I wonder if the D/B screen is more comfortable on long journeys ? I'll be keeping mine to fit before Euro trips.

Erm....... so I suppose I should say ' everybody should have a D/B screen at least as an alternative'

OK - I'll bugger off now

Sorry to hijack your thread but without trying to sound stupid, are db screens for the Falco the same shape as standard but higher, or is it a proper double bubble.

I only ask because the screen that is on my bike seems to be the right shape but rather high but I can't tell from picture of other bikes if this is normal or not. The bloke I bought it from said that he was told is was db when he bought the bike but he wasn't convinced

and Bubble....

Don't know if Fastasfcuk's Pyramid D/B is the same as my Skidmarx though.

yes for the DB screen for the long journeys- for two reasons

One - it keeps the winnd off you
two - the extra height of the DB has allowed me to fit my garmin above the clocks :)

Yep, mines like the bottom one too (not sure what make it is). Thanks for clearing that one up chaps.

I would have to agree as well, it really does give good protection, far better than my SV and that had a touring screen on it.

I have the standard screen on mine and would like a smoked/black double bubble... which ones are highly rated and are the best fit AND look the best... a lot to ask I know ;)

Not sure if there's a difference between the Pyramid and the Skidmarx - certainly very similar.
The Puig one is a bit different - it's profiled to deflect the wind over you.

I've got the same D/B dark tint Skidmarx unit like Fausto and I like it.
But it is all down to personal taste.
Does help keep wind blast off, but the standard unit is a slight double bubble anyway with a bit of a lip, so that aint bad.
Personally I think the slight improvement is worth it.
Just fitted a Puig D/B screen to the ZX9R and that makes much more difference.

I managed to get hold of a Puig touring screen off German eBay, and it works very well BUT the mounting holes do not line up anything like the original, and it all has to be forced a bit to fit. Which is annoying.

But it definitely reduces the wind buffeting especially when a tank bag is fitted and you're forced up more into the airstream. If it fitted as well as OE I'd give it a glowing 100%, as it is I'll give it a less than perfect 75%.

I had no problems with the Skidmarx on the Falco which lined up perfectly.
