Bike buying in Surrey area?

Gents! Lend me your ears please :smt001

A friend from another website has asked me the following:
Hope to buy a secondhand 600 for about £1500 and wondered if you could direct me towards any sites that might cover adverts for Surrey and < miles radius?

Or, can you recommend any worthwhile dealers that sell 2nd hand bikes.

Have been off the bikes (kids)! for 8 years, but have had a few nice ones, Laverda Jota, GPZ900, LTD 750, V-Max and some others (in the days I had money)! Just need something to commute 15 miles to work (M25) over the next month or so.

Any thoughts much appreciated - just don't want to get ripped etc.

So..

1500 quid 600cc bike,

Surrey or surrounding areas.

Best secondhand dealers or websites?

Over to you lot!

My first thought was to look at biketrader, Ive been away from Hampshire/Surrey for a while now and cant think of the other places locally i wouldve looked? Ideas?

Seems from the message that he's looking to buy sooner rather than later.

I'd look at Adtrader and perhaps Gumtree

Deffo Gumtree and last time I passed by, Genesis at New Haw had a few advertised in their window (they used to have quite a few that were about £1200 to £2000)

Cover your ears I may be about to upset some of you

Visordown classified section along with a post in the wanted area will get results. Recently saw a 2001 tt600 for uk1200!

Also gumtree as already mentioned

How about pistonheads? Just bought a tlr off a great chap at a cracking price
